3 April 2012 Tuesday I suspect my parents are among the seven people who regularly read this blog, so I'll just say up front that I don't mean to hurt your feelings Mom & Dad, or make you feel guilty in any way for the mysterious circumstances in which the only surviving original artwork from my childhood, a small green clay frog that I "sculpted" in first grade, has vanished.

18 March 2012 Sunday We've always wanted to figure out a way to bottle up the fun, excitement & pure joy that kids experience when they are creating in the studio with us! This video may be as close as we'll ever come! Enjoy!

12 March 2012 Monday We can't take an ounce of credit for having dreamt up these adorable little paintbrush people, but when we saw them we knew just where to get all the supplies we needed!

6 March 2012 Tuesday We admit that we have a love/hate relationship with papier mache. It's so bad. But so good. It starts out so easy. But then we have to wad up paper.

We started these plaster sculptures the other day, and as they were drying they looked so interesting against the backdrop of paintings from an earlier class. We’ll let you use your imagination to try to figure out what they’ll be when they’re finished. (No, not penguins. But good guess!) ![]()

The kids in the studio do not believe us when we tell them this is a real telephone! I regale them with nostalgic stories about how in the old days, before computers or video games, you could fill hours every afternoon crank calling boys from school or random strangers to ask if their refrigerator was running.
